How to deal with anxiety? If anyone sits down and tells you that you can avoid having any type of anxiety they would be lying to you. We all get nervous about different things. For example, I personally have anxiety when I am about to get up in front of a crowd to speak. I get nervous and sometimes even nauseous. Others might feel the same type of nervousness whenever they are about to take an important exam at school.

However, it is true that some people are absolutely crippled by anxiety. Instead of being able to overcome it, they simply crumble under the severe anxiety that they are having. This is not a weakness in the individual, it is a disorder that must be treated properly. If you are someone who simply can not function under specific conditions, you might suffer from this type of problem.

Here are some of the most common symptoms of severe anxiety disorders:

1: An increased rate in speed of your heartbeat.
2: Dizziness
3: Difficulty Breathing
4: Sweating
5: A fear that you might be going crazy
6: A fear that you may get hurt or that you might die

The main issue here is not that you have all of these symptoms. You may only have a couple or, may have others not on the list. This does not mean that you do not have a disorder with your anxiety. These are merely some of the common ones. The biggest fear of most people that suffer from anxiety attacks is that they will have another one and that it could lead to severe problems.

These are not totally unfounded beliefs that people are experiencing. Sometimes these symptoms could be related to other health problems. If you have not yet contacted a doctor about these problems, you should do so as quickly as possible. Always try to believe in the diagnosis that the doctor gives you even if you do have a perfect bill of health after an examination.

If you are absent from other medical conditions, you must accept the fact that you are experiencing anxiety attacks and that you can overcome them. The first thing you must do is change your treatment from physical to mental related.

Unfortunately, it is true that if you have had one anxiety attack the probability of having another is high. You must identify what triggered it and how you can counter them. If you feel one coming on, always tell yourself to take deep breaths and run through your head that you will not be hurt or die in the situation. This is not always simply “face your fears and move on” type treatment. The vast majority of people who have anxiety attacks need to see counselors that are capable of helping you identify and overcome your problem.
